Dear Father,

Thank you for giving Dr. Victor Joseph the calling to fight sex trafficking in India.  We ask that you will enable at least one girl each day to escape from enforced sexual slavery.  Bring her healing and enable her to minister to others from her experience.

We ask you for the following blessings on this ministry:

Christian Life Prison and Recovery Ministries

Tags :

Dear Father,

What an amazing thing happened yesterday!  After their Conquering Grounds MusicFest, dedicated to help people break free from addiction, was deluged by heavy rain, you delivered to Bob Sofronski and his team not only an amazingly beautiful sunset but also a rainbow.

We ask you for the following blessings on this ministry:

  • The leaders of Christian Life Prison and Recovery Ministries (CLPRM) will please you by their faith in You.
  • You will help the leaders of CLPRM learn from their adversity and then enjoy victory over the adversities they face.
  • You will direct, empower, and resource CLPRM to help the leaders achieve excellence in what they do.
  • You will bring those who have lost hope to CLPRM to be blessed by their excellence.
  • You will transform and bless the lives of those who reach out to CLPRM for help.
  • Those whose lives are transformed by your work through CLPRM will share their stories so others in need can be comforted.

It was such a pleasure to volunteer in the prison with the CLPRM.  We ask your blessings on all who are incarcerated who want to change their lives and do good for others.

Pamoza International

Tags :

Dear Father,

You are the God who does not favor the rich over the poor. The villagers in Malawi Africa are as important to you as any citizen of the United States.

Thank you for giving Mike Mtika, a former resident of Zowe, Malawi, and his team at Pamoza International the vision to bring hope and help to this remote region of our planet.

We ask you for the following blessings on this ministry:

  1. The leaders of Pamoza will please you by their faith in You.
  2. You will help the leaders of Pamoza learn from their adversity and then enjoy victory over the adversities they face.
  3. You will direct, empower, and resource Pamoza to help the leaders achieve excellence in what they do.
  4. You will bring those who have lost hope to Pamoza to be blessed by their excellence.
  5. You will transform and bless the lives of those who reach out to Pamoza for help.
  6. Those whose lives are transformed by your work through Pamoza will share their stories so others in need can be comforted.

We pray for your blessings on their upcoming Malawi Night at the Russell Elementary School.

In Your Name,

Amen

CCEF

Tags :

Dear Father,

On the front lines of the battle for people’s lives around the US are counselors.  They dedicate their careers to helping people in their most vulnerable moments.  Unlike an emergency room or a fire company, counselors are there for the long haul – months, if not years, of work with individuals and families committed to change.

We ask you for the following blessings on this counseling service:

  • The leaders of CCEF will please you by their faith in You.
  • You will help the leaders of CCEF learn from their adversity and then enjoy victory over the adversities they face.
  • You will direct, empower, and resource CCEF to help the leaders achieve excellence in what they do.
  • You will bring those who have lost hope to CCEF to be blessed by their excellence.
  • You will transform and bless the lives of those who reach out to CCEF for help.
  • Those whose lives are transformed by your work through CCEF will share their stories so others in need can be comforted.

Reflections After Working on a Farm for Chester County Foodbank

Tags :

Chad and I spent three hours removing the stalks from thousands of onions at Pete’s Produce Farm in West Chester, PA, volunteering our time for the Chester County Food Bank. The thousands of onions we processed yesterday will tweak the taste buds of hungry families throughout the county. It was a pleasure serving alongside six other adults and two elementary age twin boys.

An Evening at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia, PA

Tags :

You are a visitor at a church, a first time attendee at a worship service. A regular attender walks up to you with a bright warm smile and offers you a handshake. “Wow. That’s different” you say to yourself, accustomed to the usual chilly reception in far too many of our churches. Another regular attender walks up and offers you a cheerful smile and a firm handshake. He might even give you a hug.

New Life Furniture Touches Lives in Cincinnati, OH

Tags :

Truthfully, the success of New Life Furniture flows from Holly Young, the Executive Director. She is a woman of deep faith, profound courage, genuine warmth and compassion, and a healthy obsession to detail. The woman is a walking ambassador to what it means to love others and treat them with dignity, regardless of their circumstance.

Miriams Kitchen Feeds the Homeless in Washington DC

Tags :

When Chad and I entered the kitchen area, we saw a wall of colorful photos, including photos of a visit to Miriam's Kitchen by First Lady Michelle Obama. Clearly a charity that enjoys a visit by the First Lady of the United States is an organization that has an outstanding reputation. It was truly an honor to support such a great team by volunteering for a few hours.

Volunteering With the Atlantic City Rescue Mission

Tags :

The windows were opened, revealing a long line of about 75 men in crisis waiting quietly and patiently for their lunch. While the ladies got right to work serving the first people in line, I briefly was mesmorized by the faces and demeanor of these men. Quite a few looked like educated business professionals. They were appreciative of the meal they were receiving. They were polite and quite a few joked pleasantly with the servers.

Active Compassion Philly Feeds Philadelphia Homeless

Tags :

She is not only confined to an electric wheelchair but she spent most of the afternoon lying on her back because of her medical condition. That didn’t stop her from navigating her wheelchair around the room, helping to set the tables for the homeless who would shortly arrive for a meal. She was here today under considerably difficult circumstances to serve others in need. Her extreme adversity didn’t defeat her. She was victorious over it. It didn’t stop her from loving others. What a message for thousands of people across the US who are suffering with adversity! We don’t have to be defeated! We can become inspirational!
