Grace Church, San Diego CA

Dear Father,

I thank You for the ministry of Grace Church of San Diego CA.  I thank You for a website that conveys to me a church dedicated to showing Your love to the hurting.

Father, I found this text on their website:

We are a community of normal people going through life together.  We seek the Bible for answers on how to live life, and we encourage each other along the way.  Grace San Diego is a safe place. God loves you and accepts you right where you are today, and so do we. You don’t have to try to get your life “in order” before you come or put on some fake smile and a fancy outfit. At Grace, we believe we are called by God to meet people where they are and help them find where they should go for a meaningful life that fulfills God’s plan for them.

Dear Father,

I thank You for the work You are doing at Summit Crossing Community Church of Huntsville AL.

They write on their website:

We exist to glorify God and to do good works in the earth so that the world may see God and submit their lives to Him.

Father, people see the love of Jesus Christ through testimonies!  I see You God, as You transform the life of an addict!  I see You God, as You heal the broken heart of a widow!  I see You God, as You give emotional and spiritual strength to someone dying of cancer! Father, may the world truly see You, by Your people sharing testimonies on their church websites across this nation.

Oasis Community Church, El Paso TX

Dear Father,

I thank You for the people of Oasis Community Church of El Paso TX.

Specifically, I thank You for two excerpts I found on their website:

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Father, You spoke to me as I read that verse on this church’s website.  You can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us, when we share our testimonies of Your grace with others!  Father, if Your people will just share their testimonies across America, You can do far more with that than we can imagine.

Dear Father,

Yes!!!  A church with testimonies on their website!

I thank You for the website of Redeemer Church of Chesapeake VA.  I thank You for the people in the videos who were courageous to share their stories about You.  I ask that You bless each and everyone of them.

Father, it is with pleasure that I add this church to our small but growing list of churches and charities that publish testimonies.  I ask that You will expand this list, not just with churches that are already sharing testimonies but with churches who decide for the first time to publish testimonies on their websites.

Legacy Christian Church, Allentown PA

Dear Father,

Welcome to a place where your story matters…

That’s the words that greet a visitor to the Legacy Christian Church of Allentown PA website!  In addition, they write:

Story. We relentlessly seek intimacy with God through the study of His Story (the Bible). We share our individual stories to give an account of what God has done in our lives. (Psalm 119:97; Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)

Father, I know You are moving across churches in America, encouraging church leaders to share Your stories, the stories of how You change people’s lives.  It’s not a mere coincidence that the language on so many church websites compliments the sharing of testimonies with our hurting neighbors.

Dear Father,

You are still saving and changing lives today!

Yes! Pastor Daniel Floyd of Lifepoint Church of Fredericksburg, VA gives You credit in his blog article, “Tweetables: It’s Not What You Think”, for being relevant today.

Wherever Jesus goes He does attract people!  And He goes into people’s lives throughout this nation every hour!  His stories are very attractive!  As Daniel Floyd writes, sometimes we do “get so worried about our place in the house, we forget about the people outside the house.”  Those people need to hear the stories that faith in Jesus Christ does make a difference!
