Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown PA

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the opportunity to speak with Pastor Phillip Waselik of Emmanuel Lutheran Church this afternoon. It was a pleasure.

I ask your blessings on his ministry. I ask that you will draw someone to your loving care through their food and clothing ministries, the school supplies they collect and distribute, and their support for people in crisis around the world.

The pastor asked specifically for more leaders to be called in the church. This is the second pastor who expressed such a desire today. Lord, pastors, like Phillip, have so much responsibility. They need people to help carry the load of leadership. May you grant Phillip this prayer request.

I would like to thank you for the commitment of Hopewell Community Church to providing support for individuals recovering from addiction. They are putting into practice what you called us to do – love those who are struggling in life. Please save a life next week through their recovery program.

A representative of the church today asked for prayer for growth. Lord, please help the members of the church to grow spiritually and for the church to grow in the number of people who attend. I ask specifically that new attendees come from those who you have saved from adversity and suffering.

What an absolutely delightful conversation I just had on the phone with Martha Eischen of The Church of the Good Shepherd of Rosemont! What an example she set for a warm greeting and taking interest in another brother in Christ. Wow!

I lift up The Church of the Good Shepherd of Rosemont right now. They have been through some difficult years. They are fighting an uphill battle. Martha reports you did some painful house cleaning in the church but You have given them hope. I thank you for the report that the new shepherd at the church is a man full of God’s love. She asks that their ministry prospers for your glory and for their needs.

West Chester School District

Students from broken homes and dysfunctional families are attending schools all over the US. Many of these students are on a path towards self-destruction or hurting others. Many students are contemplating suicide.

We ask that you bless the teachers of the West Chester Area School District in Chester County Pennsylvania with opportunities to intervene and save children from ending or ruining their lives. Lord, we ask that the teachers will have insight and awareness of children in crisis, that they will have compassion, and that they will have the skill and determination to see those children land in a place of safety. We ask that, thanks to the work of teachers in this school district, children on the path towards addiction, crime, or life dysfunction will turn into students with a passion to do good in their careers and help others in need.
